Those quarrelsome Nihilists and their archenemy Dostoevsky. Researching a novel I'm constructing, I came across the Turgenev-Cherneshevsky-Herzen-Dostoevsky conversation in fiction (the only means of debate not absolutely repressed by the Tsar), and to me the Nihilists come off as prototypical hippies trying to alter the serf's perception of "reality" and their place in it
