I usually don't play computer games as I find their effect mostly quite debilitating. Still, a friend of mine convinced me to try one and here are my thoughts: 1. It is very addictive. Even for someone who is generally against them and sees all the waste of time in it. 2. As I wrote in my last post about "can you be optimistic without being an idiot", the game revealed in me several traits of character and ways of acting in life that I was not aware of. So in some ways, taking the game as a metaphor of life- I learned from it. So computer game can be beneficial? 3. Once you learn things and the patterns keep repeating- what's there left to learn from it?
Any thoughts on the subject? Games that improve you short- long term?
