I wanted to link to the following discussion on the Egyptian revolution: A revolution in Egypt, good for the Egyptians or bad for them?
Revolutions are usually the last place to look for free will. It is a mob mentality, who are often manipulated by certain people. They can lead to great or horrific results, but free will plays an insignificant part either way.
