What practices or traits make you ignorant? Maybe we can’t answer the question in its generality, because ignorance may be limited to a deficiency in a particular field. In that case, we’re all specifically ignorant. But, there must be practices or traits that can lead to a general habit of mental ignorance that would exclude you from being proficient or literate in any special field.
Would a great artist who was unable to read or write, whose interests were limited to the art, and who had no talent for personal interaction, be immune to the charge of ignorance just because of the sub-vocal intelligence of her hands?
Would an expert hunter in a hunting culture, but who was illiterate, be ignorant? In other words, is ignorance culturally defined?
