Occupy the Internet
THINQon is a platform for a more intelligent web. It aims to replace the ruling paradigm of the web – that of sharing and gathering information – with a sharing and achieving of understanding. Instead of the Q&A model it offers an experience. A platform for discovery of ideas, people, and yourself.     Continue >
Internet Censorship
http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=10125&Itemid=1
Several stories have been hitting the net with Australia's attempt at web censorship. Censorship which as always starts with claims to stop child pornography but somehow moves to encompass everything the ruling party feels like censoring, as the law always leaves everything open to judgment of some decision group.

A funnier version is here :http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/10/27/australia-wants-ban-internet with the headline: Censorship going mental down under.

They don't report on the same thing, only following the development of the discussion about it in Australia. Of course the discussion is happening everywhere in the world. One of the many things I find funny here, is how if usually it was the government trying to censure films, music and so on, this time it is exactly these groups (the film and music industry) funding these attempts as they hope it will help them in their (put your own comment here) battle against downloaders.
