Is a fourth American Idol judge necessary?
Watching American Idol is a guilty pleasure of mine.  I love seeing what kind of talent they can find, as well as who will show up to embarrass themselves by singing out of tune or forgetting the words and getting slammed by the judges.  This season there’s an extra judge to do the slamming-- Kara DioGuardi.

Kara DioGuardi is a Grammy-nominated songwriter who has composed music for artists including Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera and Kelly Clarkson and, though she has taken a bit of slack from Idol fans, seems to be very qualified to judge the show.

I think that the addition of a fourth judge is just what they show needed.  Paula, Randy and Simon have been bringing the same judging style and opinions to the table for years now.  Maybe Kara can bring some new flair to the show and help find the best American Idol yet.  What do you think?
