Leibniz and musical pleasure
I ran across a quote attributed to the mathematician/philosopher Leibniz: “Music is the pleasure the human mind experiences from counting without being aware that it is counting.” 

I find that I disagree with this in the sense that I would never have thought to put it this way, but find it interesting for the same reason. Thought I'd see how you all felt about it.
