Nicholas Sparks is an amazing writer and
best selling author of 14 novels. Most
of his books have been translated into various languages and have become an
international phenomenon. In addition,
many have been placed on the New York Times Best Seller list within the first
week of publication. Sparks has turned his amazing literary
success into blockbuster sensations as well.
Four of his best sellers, The Notebook, Message in a Bottle,
A Walk to Remember, and Nights in Rodanthe have been interpreted
on the silver screen. Normally, I don’t
enjoy film adaptations of novels, especially novels that I really enjoy. I find that the film never truly represents
the book and I am always disappointed.
However, Nicholas Spark’s novels turned movies have refused to let me
down. The Notebook is one of my
favorite novels and initially I was nervous to see how it would be portrayed on
film. I was pleasantly surprised by the
accuracy and overall nature of the way the film stayed true to the novel. This love story was executed flawlessly
onscreen and I am proud to say that this is not only one of my favorite books,
but also favorite movies. Sparks
literary magic has clearly transitioned into big movie success and I strongly
recommend to those that have not read his books or seen these films, to do so.
