Occupy the Internet
THINQon is a platform for a more intelligent web. It aims to replace the ruling paradigm of the web – that of sharing and gathering information – with a sharing and achieving of understanding. Instead of the Q&A model it offers an experience. A platform for discovery of ideas, people, and yourself.     Continue >
Professional Anger
There's a niche in many artistic fields for anger. Why? What is attractive to us as an audience about someone else's anger? I'm thinking about the Lewis Blacks and the Eminems. Men who are so aggrieved that they've built entire personas out of their anger. And a lot of the times we laugh. When Eminem isn't rapping with a very dark sense of anger he is employing the very same anger to making his audience laugh. We agree with his ranting tirades against the industry, we sympathize because he is voicing a human emotion which most of us never let loose.

It's fun to be angry sometimes. But I almost never am. I missed the lesson somehow. When I put on an angry facade it is with a knowing sense of irony. When I play games I'll jokingly yell at the other team, but they'll know I'm only kidding. I think it must be that since I am never angry I enjoy the Eminem's and the George Carlin more. They represent a world I'll never know, one where any minor insurrection to my person is rewarded with an angry tongue.

Not being able to speak from experience, I wonder if someone might illuminate me on how it feels after anger is released? Is there a high? I am very intrigued by anger because it runs counter to my spirit. I want to experience it. Is that naive? Probably, but it doesn't change the fact.
