From the balcony view, one can study sunsets, along with boats going up and down the channel, and the cars going across the bridge to Virginia. In the summer, the leaves on the trees hide the edge of the waterfront from the balcony's view, but the helicopters fly above the branches. In the winter, it is a bit chilly on the balcony, but the bare trees allow for a fine view of the water's edge. When the trees are bare, it is easier to see the airplanes land at the airport across the river from my balcony. In the summer, the planes disappear from view, and I can only hope that they land safely.
