What are the world's great libraries? Any recommendations on what a lover of books should someday see?

[What prompted the question was a mention of the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbuttel. Neither my Latin nor my German is up to deciphering the details of the collection, so I can't tell you much about it.]
