To be honest or not to be honest, a question of measure?
I realized recently that the misbehavior of one person towards another one, brings on a chain of misbehavior of other humans towards each other. People have agreements, written or not, and yet they do not respect them, and when other people see that, they think to themselves "why should I be the sucker?" and do not respect agreements that do not suit them and so on and so on till the whole society gets corrupted even through people who did not mean to be dishonest at the beginning but are simply forced to behave in a way that suits this universal frame of mind in order to fit.
Is there a way of saying no to this complete and contagious lack of morality we live in, or should one choose to be honest to a reasonable degree? (meaning not being a sucker all the time)?
