What do you think of the Obama/Bruni story?
Imagine I have a private talk with a colleague. I might not have said specifically the phrase “don't tell anyone” but it was all too clear considering what I said. Some time later I find that she's spluttered part of it all over her facebook page.  Now, let's transpose into real life. 1st American Lady confessed to 1st French Lady about not liking her position and this information gets into a book apparently supplied by Bruni, at an especially sensitive time for Michelle Obama - is that a political move or a catty one?
Whenever I tell someone something, I always imagine this person will tell someone else. And there is a chain. It's naive to think that someone will keep your secrets if you can't keep them yourself.
