Which Walker Percy?
Hey Everyone!

I was hoping for any suggestions anyone might be able to offer as to which Walker Percy novel I should read. I have only read The Moviegoer and, although I did enjoy it (not one of my absolute favorites), I have heard it is one of his least creative and stimulating. I suppose I am looking for something a little more obscure and complex. Lancelot, The Thanatos Syndrome, Love in the Ruins, and The Second Coming have all been highly recommended to me- but I don't know which to try first.

Any advice?

Thanks so much!
Hi, Almost two years ago you asked for a recommendation for which Percy novel to read next. I think I would have said 'The Second Coming'. But now I think I understand why he wrote 'The Thanatos Syndrome'. Have you read it? I think the wretchedness  I felt reading it  was intentional and the means he chose to tell us of his view of the state of affairs.A view that I am sorry to say is now my own.
Anyway, I hate to see a good question unanswered. Be well and
Cheers, Tom
