Women singing both Soprano and Alto
Originality is one of the things that add spice to life. Last week I was in a performance of a young talented musician. She introduced what I thought to be a very original combination of voice and Trombone, accompanied by piano. Later I read, she explained that having a Soprano voice, the Trombone allows her to sing also in Alto. A neat explanation! Regardless of this anecdote, she’s a voice worth tracking.
Two video clips to introduce her to those who haven’t gotten the chance yet. Her name is Noam Vazana.

Go here for a famous soprano mastering even low alto registers -- from about 4:50 (Mahler Urlicht)

it is something something!
opera fans, i found some more in another video of the alto-trombone lady (noam vazana):

after a minute
She's a very nice singer Assaf, and the Trombone quote is great.
It reminded me of a discussion here about Louis Armstrong where Edna Stern mentions in her post on how his singing is like his playing of the trumpet.

Jessy Norman is great as usual Henry, and a good example.
